When you're done, you can fetch the link to your invitation and send it to anyone you want via your own email service.

How do I add my information to an invitation?

First, open your invitation in edit mode. Then, just click on the text you'd like to change. An "inplace" editing field will be displayed that will let you edit your text. Once you're done editing, just click anywhere on the invitation and the editing field will go away and your new text will be displayed in the area you were editing.

Can I use my own images?

Yes.

Will you email my invitation for me?

No. Bare Bones Invites doesn't email your invitation. We provide you the tools to create an online invitation and manage your RSVP's, but it's up to you to email your invitation link to your guests. We do things this way to give you the most flexibility, plus email delivery to your recipients is improved to virtually 100% since SPAM filters are more likely to let your personal email through.

Can my guests RSVP from my invite?

Yes. Each invitation has an RSVP area that lets your guests reply to your invitation. The RSVP form lets you know the name of the guest, whether they will be attending or not, and their email address. Bare Bones Invites stores this information for you in your private account area so you can keep track of all your guest responses.

Are there any limitations as to how many people can respond?

No. There are no limitations on how many people you send your invitation to, or how many responses you can receive.

How do I get the link to my invitation?

First, log into your account page. Then select "get link" from the drop down menu for the invitation that you want to email or copy to your blog or website. A popup window will be displayed that will contain both the internet address of your invitation as well as the HTML code if you need it.

Can I add a message board to my invite?

Yes. Just go to your account page, and select the "manage messages" item from the pull down menu for your invitation. One click enables or disables your message board.

To use BareBonesInvites you should have cookies and javascript enabled on your browser. That's it. BareBonesInvites runs on Firefox, Opera, Safari and Explorer.

How do I add a link to my invitation?

Adding a link is not too difficult. All you need to do is insert some HTML code.

Here's an example;

To add a link to google the HTML code would be;
<a href="http://www.google.com">Visit Google</a>

To add a link to yahoo the HTML code would be;
<a href="http://www.yahoo.com">Yahoo</a>

As you can see, all you need to do is copy the above lines to your invitation and replace the "http:" part with your link and the "Visit Google" or "Yahoo" with the text you want displayed.

In general the format of a link is <a href="the link">the text</a>

Just replace "the link" and "the text" with your data.

How do I add a map to my event?

The map option is only available to you once you have signed up for an account.

To add a map, first you open your invitation in edit mode by selecting "edit" from the pull down menu in your account page. Once you're in the editor, click on the "Option" button and select "maps and directions" from your option choices.

Now you need to get a link to your map, so open a new browser window and go to your favorite mapping service. Type in your event address, display the map, then copy the maps page address into the maplink area of your invitation's map option text area. You can use any link for your map, either one from a mapping service like Google or Yahoo, or if you have a link from some other website, you can use that link instead.

Can I insert YouTube video into my invitation?

Yes. Just visit YouTube, find a video you'd like to embed, and find the "embed this video" HTML. Copy the the entire HTML string into the details section of your invitation and you're done.
